3M™ Sheet and Screen Label Materials 7940 is our 50 micron, matt silver aluminum foil with 43 micron acrylic adhesive 320 on a 170 micron polycoated kraft liner. It’s UL recognised and CSA accepted.

For a foil label material that’s a great alternative to traditional aluminium nameplates, use 3M™ Sheet and Screen Label Materials 7940. Our label material has an embossable foil facestock, a heavy liner for sheet applications, and a vinyl topcoat for ink receptivity. The heavy coat weight of acrylic adhesive is good for textured or low surface energy substrates. It has good abrasion resistance, and is an excellent choice for harsh environment nameplate applications. It’s UL recognised and CSA accepted. 3M Performance Label Stock Materials offer a wide range of products for long term durability and adhesion with automotive chemical resistance and outdoor durability. Some products are UL/CSA compliant materials that can be printed by flexographic or screen print processes, as well as thermal transfer, digital printing, inkjet, laser or dot matrix printing.
