3M 86A Promoter allows for faster initial adhesion build rate of 3M™ Polyurethane Protective Tapes and Boots with acrylic adhesives to certain surfaces. Even the best products can use a bit of assistance on occasion, and that's the idea behind our 3M™ Adhesion Promoter 86A. It's designed to help our polyurethane protective boots and tapes adhere to high surface energy substrates and surfaces. This polyamide, isopropyl alcohol based formula dries in 10 minutes to maximize work time and minimize downtime. 3M™ Adhesion Promoter 86A comes in a one pint can for large area coverage. It's also available in pre-saturated wipes for fast application over smaller areas. It is not intended for use where the acrylic adhesive would be in direct contact with aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, steel or glass.
