Product Details

3M™ Glass Bubbles XLD3000 are hollow microspheres made of soda-lime borosilicate glass with a true density of 0.23 g/cm³ and an isostatic crush strength of 3000 psi / 210 bar.

These Glass Bubbles are designed for numerous applications such as deep water syntactic foams and airless spray coatings. They are high-strength additives with high thermal insulation properties, and can be used for deep sea oil pipelines to improve and maintain the flow properties of the oil.

  • Low density Glass Bubbles with excellent strength-to-density ratio
  • smaller particle size
  • Higher filler loading feasible and lower VOC for paints and coatings
  • Temperature resistance
  • Chemical stability and inertness
  • Thermal conductivity reduction
