Product Details

3M™ Glass Bubbles HGS2000 are hollow microspheres made of soda-lime borosilicate glass with a true density of 0.32 g/cm³ and an isostatic crush strength of 2,000 psi or 140 bar.

HGS2000 Glass Bubbles are designed for use in lightweight well cementing and suited for shallow water depth wells in the oil and gas industry.

  • Successfully and predictably reduces the control fluid density
  • Prevents or minimizes fluid loss/lost circulation and formation damage
  • Incompressible and more homogeneous control fluid properties compared with foamed and aerated systems
  • Eliminates the need for specialized equipment used in foamed and aerated systems
  • Potential for reduced Non Productive Time (NPT), improved well integrity and increased well productivity
  • Thermal conductivity reduction
  • Temperature resistance
  • Increase efficiency of mud removal by allowing pipe rotation or reciprocation
  • Increase yield per sack of cement
  • Eliminate need for remedial squeeze
  • Thermal conductivity reduction
  • Temperature resistance
