Use Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Strip Unitized Wheel to effectively remove scale, rust, surface contaminants, paints and coatings. Our unitised wheels are also suitable for removing weld discolouration and splatter. The dense, open-web construction and aggressive properties produce a wheel that runs smoothly and resists loading – even when removing soft coatings. These unitised wheels are filled with silicon carbide abrasive mineral, a synthetic mineral that is very sharp and commonly used for low-pressure applications such as paint prep. Although it breaks down faster than aluminium oxide, it produces a superior finish. They work well with portable tools and die grinders to reach tight or confined areas. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives are unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into a non-woven fibre matrix. Combining abrasives and non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool and is load resistant, which keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibres.
Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Strip Unitized Wheel is hard, open-web wheel for aggressive coating removal, cleaning welds, and removing rust, paint, and coating. The layered, durable unitized wheel construction and hard 7 density, with low conformability, works well with portable tools and die grinders to reach tight or confined areas.
