Safety and your bike

Being safe means riding a safe bike. But what is a safe bike?

It is one that is the right size for you to ride, and equipped with lights and reflective stickers.

It doesn't matter what sort of bike you have, or want. If the balls of your feet touch the ground it is the right size. You will be comfortable when you ride and when you stop.

If it has got the right lights and it is bright and clearly visible, you'll be seen by drivers when out and about. And, if you look after it properly, the
brakes and gears will all work when you need them.
