Encourage your child to be safe on the roads

Make sure your child only rollerskates on the footpath and never on the road – rollerskating is also not permitted in some areas, so make sure your child knows about these restrictions.

Make sure your child stops at the kerb and uses the Safe Cross Code to cross the road.

As well as being aware of the traffic, make sure your child is also careful around other pedestrians, particularly young children and the elderly.

Your child should wear a helmet when rollerskating.
