In the car – behaviour

Teach your child to be a good passenger
Teach your child to be a good passenger and to avoid distracting the driver
– it will be best for both of you in the long run!
Make sure your child always gets out of the car on the footpath side.
For children under 150cm tall (generally 11–12 years old), it is the driver's responsibility to make sure that the correct seat belt or restraint is worn
– however, encourage your child to take responsibility for their own safety
as soon as they can.
Children under three must travel in the appropriate child car seat wherever
they are seated in the vehicle.
Never put the same seat belt around yourself and your child, or strap two
children together in the same seat belt.
Children from three years old up to 150 cm must have the correct child restraint in the front and rear of a vehicle. There are very few exceptions.
